MarketLive Customers Grow 26% in 2013
MarketLive Performance Index Also Predicts Mobile and
Tablet to Account for 50% of All Visits by End of 2014
Petaluma, CA – February 24, 2014 MarketLive, the leading Total Commerce platform for high-growth merchants, today announced the results of its Performance Index™ report analyzing its customers' online retailing performance in Q4 and whole-year results for 2013. Among the stand-out results, the report found that online shoppers using mobile and tablet devices account for 39 percent of all visits and, at this current growth rate, that number is predicted to rise to 50 percent by the end of this year.

Other results in the report include:
- Paid search increased to 25 percent of total traffic (33 percent to total search engine visits)
- Revenue from paid search grew to 44 percent of total search engine visit revenue (up from 34 percent)
- Overall average revenue increased 26.5 percent
- 65 percent of online shopping starts on a smartphone, and finishes on another screen
MarketLive's quarterly Performance Index report analyzes online retailing results among MarketLive's customer base and makes year-over-year longitudinal comparisons. In addition to analyzing brick and mortar, the Performance Index also looks at apparel, beauty and health, housewares and furniture, brand manufacturers, and catalog categories. The report also tracks key performance trends in how consumers shop on mobile and tablet devices, and how shopper traffic is shaped by paid and organic search.
